Known as the Second D‑Day of WWII, Operation Dragoon was the last major amphibious invasion of the European campaign. On August 15, 1944, over 151,000 Allied troops and personnel stormed the beaches of Southern France, breaking through German defenses along the Mediterranean coast and securing vital ports needed to supply the advancing armies. Among the ships supporting the assault was the USS YMS‑78, where my father served as part of the minesweeping forces that cleared the way for the landings. This shirt commemorates that day, honors the men who fought through the invasion, and remembers those who gave their lives in the liberation of France.
Artwork includes a classic vintage fade and distressed texture — this is intentional and part of the design.
Note: Mockups may show the design slightly lower on the shirt than the actual printed result. The real print sits higher and closer to the collar.
